Shiatsu is a form of bodywork based on a 5000 year old Far East tradition.
Shiatsu is a finger pressure technique (hence the name: Shi-thumb, Atsu-pressing) restoring both physical and mental strength regardless of the age and profession. The technique is based on traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and do-in exercises.
Shiatsu is based on the undisturbed flow of our life energy (QI) moving through imaginary energy paths, i.e., meridians.
Shiatsu is a support to our body in maintaining health and establishing good relationships with both ourselves and the environment.
Shiatsu treatments awaken the body to self-healing, reminding it of this ability which is suppressed and forgotten due to a lifestyle dictated by modern times.
Shiatsu treatment creates a balance in the flow of life energy through our body. When a person is healthy, the energy is continually flowing, but when there is a blockage on the meridian, a disease occurs. Shiatsu is recommended for the following conditions:
Back and neck pain
Problems with indigestion
DURATION OF THE TREATMENT?
The treatment is performed on a matt and patient is dressed in cotton garments. The treatment usually takes 45-60 minutes.
LET'S MAKE THINGS CLEAR...
The purpose of the shiatsu treatment is the even and continuous flow of our life energy through the body. If there are blockages on along, then there is an illness. Shiatsu treatments serve to awake the body and stimulate self-healing.
